On Monday May 20, 2013, the high-line catcher processor F/V ARCTIC STORM caught fire exposing more then 125 crew to smoke and other dangerous fire related fumes as the vessel floundered approximately 30 miles west of Grays Harbor, Washington. Approximately 80 Crew evacuated to other Seattle based vessels fishing in the area including the NORTHERN VOYAGER, GOLDEN ALASKA, SEA DAWN AND THE EXCELLENCE. 42 Crew remained on board to fight the fire. A rescue tug is en-route to tow the crippled vessel to Aberdeen, Washington where the Coast Guard will conduct a full investigation into the cause of the fire.
